5TH YEAR SENIOR SEASON: (2011-12): Leonard served as a co-captain of the team and became the first Vermont native ever to be named a captain for the Catamounts ... Skated in 33 of 34 games and posted three points on a goal and two assists ... Tallied an assist on the team's opening first period goal at No. 16 Boston University (Nov. 18) ... Recorded his second helper in a 3-2 overtime upset of No. 10 UMass Lowell (Jan. 13) ... Scored his only goal of the season a week later at UMass Amherst (Jan. 20) ... Named to the Hockey East Top Performer List on Jan. 23 ... Posted 22 shots on goal.
SENIOR SEASON (2010-11): Leonard played in all 36 games dishing out nine assists for nine points … Recorded his first career multi-point game with two assists in the Catamounts 6-5 win over No. 19 Dartmouth (Dec. 12) … Finished the season with 31 shots on goal … Went 5-0 in face-offs in Game 1 of the Hockey East Quarterfinals at No. 2 seed UNH and 5-2 in Game 2.
JUNIOR SEASON (2009-10): Leonard played in 23 contests, including the last 15 games of the season … Had two goals and two assists … Posted a plus-4 rating and had 18 shots … Named the UVM Frank “Mac” McIntosh Most Improved Player ... Had an assist in a 3-0 win at home against Providence on Nov. 8 … Dished out an assist in a 3-2 victory at No. 12 Boston College on Nov. 15 ... Scored the first goal of his career in a 3-3 tie at No. 13 New Hampshire on Feb. 20 … Had a goal in a 7-3 victory against No. 20 Boston University in a game televised on NESN on Feb. 26.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2008-09): Leonard did not see game action.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2007-08): Leonard saw action in seven games … Had seven shots on goal … Made the first start of his career in a 2-1 win at Merrimack on Nov. 10.
BEFORE VERMONT: A native Vermonter, Leonard scored seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points with the Green Mountain Glades in the EJHL in 2006-07 ... He scored 10 goals and had 28 assists for 38 points in 2005-06 while serving as a co-captain at the Tilton School in New Hampshire ... Prior to joining Tilton, Leonard starred at South Burlington High School and was named Mr. Hockey in the state of Vermont as a junior ... That season he recorded 33 goals and 32 assists for 65 points in 20 games ... He notched 115 points in his three seasons at South Burlington.
