GRADUATE SEASON (2022-23): Long was named an alternate captain for the 2nd straight season.
SENIOR SEASON (2021-22): Long was named an alternate captain ahead of his senior campaign ... He skated in 29 games for UVM as a senior picking up 3 goals and 4 assists for 7 points ... Notched 1st career 2-goal game with two tallies against Alaska Fairbanks (1/28) and had season-high 5 blocked shots, while adding  a goal and an assist at New Hampshire (2/11) ... Blocked 31 shots, 3rd most on the team.
JUNIOR SEASON (2020-21): Skated in all 13 games for the Catamounts during the COVID-19 shortened campaign ... Picked up his first career game-winning goal in 5-4 win over Maine (1/8) ... On Feb. 13 he also picked up an assist at Boston University ... Despite seeing significant time against teams' top forwards only committed two penalties during the season.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2019-20): Skated in 33 of 34 games as a sophomore blueliner … Finished the season with one goal and two assists for three points … Picked up an assist against Yale (Jan. 7) … Scored at Merrimack (Jan. 25) and chipped in final assist in Vermont’s win over 12th-ranked Northeastern (Feb. 28) … Led the Catamounts with 42 blocked shots and added 30 shots on goal.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2018-19): Saw action in 24 games his freshman season, posting one goal and four assists for five points … netted his first colligate goal against Merrimack (Jan. 25) … tallied an assist against Sacred Heart (Jan. 4)… … blocked four shots in away match versus UMass (Jan. 12)… finished the season with 32 shots and 30 blocks
BEFORE VERMONT: Played the last two seasons with the USHL's Lincoln Stars and was a teammate of sophomore defenseman Christian Evers in 2016-17 ... Posted 22 points in 51 regular season games as an assistant captain last year ... Attended South Kent School and spent three years with the Selects Hockey Academy (USPHL) ... Amassed 55 points in 54 games during his final two seasons ... Led all USPHL U-18 defensemen in scoring during the 2015-16 campaign with 33 points, which ranked 17th overall in the League.
