Henni Tietze

Pronunciation: TEET-zuh

Henni Tietze concluded her first season as an assistant coach with the Vermont field hockey programĀ  2017. Tietze came to Burlington after spending the 2016 season in a similar capacity at Providence College of the BIG EAST.
Ā

In her first season with Vermont, Tietze helped 12 newcomers find their footing in Burlington. The Catamounts defeated New Hampshire for the first time since 2007, and Landon Warren and Olivia Hurd were named to the America East All-Conference and All-Academic teams, respectively.
Ā

In 2016, Providence went 13-6 (5-2 BIG EAST) en route to a tie for second place in the league standings, culminating with an appearance in the conference tournament. Following the campaign, senior Adrienne Houle and junior Megan Hamilton received NFHCA Northeast All-Region recognition, while Houle was also named a Longstreth/NFHCA Second Team All-American.

Ā

Tietze previously played center-back at Providence (2011-14), during which she amassed 22 goals and 15 assists. Her 59 total points rank 22nd all-time in program history. She was named All-BIG EAST each season in her career, twice earning First Team (2012, 2014) and Second Team (2011, 2013) laurels. In addition, she was recognized as a three-time Preseason All-BIG EAST Team selection (2012-14) and a two-time NFHCA Division I All-Northeast Region Second-Team pick (2012, 2014).

Ā

A native of Sankt Augustin, Germany, Tietze is a double graduate of Providence. She completed her undergraduate studies in business management in 2015, later earning a master's degree in higher education counseling in May 2017.
