Scored the game-tying goal in the third period of the season opener at No. 6 UMass Lowell (Oct. 12) ... Had an assist in his first game back from injury at home against No. 20 UMass Lowell (Jan. 11) ... Posted 30 shots on goal.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2011-12): Markison skated in 33 of 34 games, ranking fifth on the team and second among rookies with 14 points on six goals and eight assists ... Was tied for third on the squad with three power play goals and saw time on the top power play unit throughout the year ... Named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week on Jan. 2 after posting two goals and an assist against No. 16 Lake Superior State and No. 11 Ferris State in the Catamount Cup ... Named to the Hockey East Top Performer List three times ... Registered his first career point with an assist at Providence (Nov. 5) ... Scored against No. 10 UMass Lowell (Jan. 13) and Providence (Jan. 15) to cap off a stretch of four goals in six games ... Had a goal and two assists against Northeastern (Jan. 27 and 28), including his second career multi-point game in the Saturday contest ... Tallied a goal against No. 4 Boston College (Feb. 10).

BEFORE VERMONT: Markison played two seasons with the Omaha Lancers in the United States Hockey League in 2009-10 and 2010-11 ... Posted 17 points in each campaign and was a plus-16 in his two-year career ... Tied for third on the team with four power play goals in 2010-11 ... Named the Playoff MVP of the Eastern Junior Hockey League in 2008-09 as a member of the Jersey Hitmen ... Finished the season with 14 goals and 12 assists in 42 games as the Hitmen won the EJHL Championship ... Represented Team USA in the 2008 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament in Slovakia and finished second ... Played hockey at The Pennington School in Pennington, N.J. ...
