JUNIOR SEASON (2012-13): Brickley served as an assistant captain and posted three goals and five assists for eight points ... Skated in 24 contests as he missed time due to injury from mid-November to mid-January ... All eight of his points came in Hockey East play ... Scored all three of his goals at home against Providence (Nov. 2), UMass Amherst (Jan. 25), and Boston College (Mar. 9) ... Had 46 shots on goal throughout the year ... Netted one power play goal.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2011-12): Brickley played in 23 games but still ranked third on the team with nine goals on the season ... Became the seventh Catamount overall and the first in 20 years to be selected to the U.S. National Junior Team ... Competed for Team USA at the IIHF World Junior Championships in Alberta, Canada ... Named to the Hockey East Top Performer List twice ... Registered his first career multi-goal game with a pair of tallies in the second game of the season against No. 8 Minnesota, as the Catamounts upset the Golden Gophers 5-4 on the road ... Had eight goals in the first 14 games of the season ... Reeled off a four-game goal scoring streak from Nov. 25 to Dec. 3 ... Posted back-to-back multi-point games in a home series against Maine on Dec. 2 and 3 with a goal and an assist in each contest ... Suffered an injury at the World Junior Championships and missed the entire month of January ... Lit the lamp against No. 5 Boston University on Senior Night at Gutterson Fieldhouse on Feb. 25.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2010-11): Brickley played in 35 of 36 games and led all freshman forwards with four goals and nine assists for 13 points … Named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week on Nov. 15 following the second multi-point game of his career (1 G, 1 A) and his first career game-winning goal against No. 9 Boston College (Nov. 13) … Scored his first career goal at Providence (Nov. 6) … Tallied a goal in the second game of the Sheraton/TD Bank Catamount Cup against Harvard … Netted his fourth goal of the season against UMass Lowell (March 4) … Had 66 shots on goal.
BEFORE VERMONT: Brickley was drafted 50th overall (second round) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers … He is the second highest draft choice for the Catamounts in program history behind only U.S. Hockey Hall of Famer John LeClair ‘91, who was selected 33rd overall in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens … Brickley had a team-high 22 goals for the Des Moines Buccaneers in the USHL during the 2009-10 season … He posted 43 points in 52 games and his four game-winning goals also led the team … He played for the West Division in the 2010 USHL All-Star Game … Was also a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. National Under-18 Team at the 2010 International Ice Hockey Federation World Men’s U18 Championship in Minsk and Bobruisk, Belarus … Attended Belmont Hill Prep School in Belmont, Mass., from 2004 to 2009 … Played hockey, football and baseball at Belmont.
