• Team MVP (2011-12)

SENIOR SEASON (2011-12): MacKenzie skated in 32 of 34 games and ranked third on the team in scoring with 23 points on seven goals and 16 assists ... Was second on the team in assists and tied for fourth in goals ... Finished the year ranked sixth in scoring among Hockey East defensemen and was top-5 in goals among blueliners ... Logged the most ice time of any UVM defenseman and was a fixture of the top power play unit ... Named to the Hockey East Top Performer List four times ... Posted three multi-point games, including two against nationally-ranked UMass Lowell ... Notched a nine-game point streak from Dec. 7 to Jan. 20 ... Averaged a point per game during a 16-game stretch from Dec. 7 to Feb. 18 ... Netted tallies in back-to-back games against Dartmouth (Nov. 27) and Maine (Dec. 2) ... Had a goal and an assist, including the overtime winner at New Hampshire (Feb. 17) ... Scored for the Catamounts at Sun Life Frozen Fenway 2012 (Jan. 7) to tie the game at two against UMass Amherst.  

JUNIOR SEASON (2010-11): MacKenzie played in 34 of 36 games, tallying five goals     and 12 assists ... His 17 points ranked fourth on the team and led all defensemen … Finished 12th in Hockey East in defenseman scoring ... 16 of his 17 points came in Hockey East play ... Had two assists in a 3-2 loss at home to No. 9 Boston College (Nov. 12) … Had a goal and an assist in a 2-2 tie at home against Northeastern (Nov. 26) … Tallied a power-play goal in each game against Providence (Feb. 4/5) … Had    a four-game point streak from Feb. 4 to Feb. 11 … Had a three-point weekend in the regular season finale against UMass Lowell (1 G, 2 A), including the equalizer in the final minute of the Friday night game (March 4) … Was named to the Hockey East Top Performer List for the week of March 7.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2009-10): MacKenzie played in 36 of 39 games and recorded four goals and 10 assists for 14 points … Had 58 shots and one power play goal … Was named to the Hockey East Top Performer List on one occasion … Notched an assist in a 6-4 win at No. 1 Denver on Oct. 10 … Capped off a three-game scoring streak with an assist in a 3-0 shutout versus Providence at Gutterson Fieldhouse on Nov. 8 … Scored a power play goal in a 3-0 victory at No. 15 Massachusetts on Jan. 24 in a game televised on ESPNU … Scored a goal and had a pair of assists in a weekend sweep of No. 20 Boston University on Feb. 26 and 28 at Gutterson Fieldhouse.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2008-09): MacKenzie played in 31 of 39 games in his rookie campaign … Scored one goal and had nine assists … Posted a plus-4 rating and had 22 shots … Had five assists in 19 Hockey East games … Recorded the first point of his career with an assist in a 3-1 win at UMass-Lowell on Nov. 8 … Had the lead assist on Peter Lenes’ game-winning goal in a 3-2 overtime victory at No. 17 UMass on Nov. 25 in a game televised on Comcast … Posted a career best two assists in a 4-3 loss to UMass-Lowell at Gutterson Fieldhouse on March 13 … Scored the first goal of his career and also had an assist in a 5-4 loss against eventual national champion Boston University in the Frozen Four in a game televised on ESPN2.

BEFORE VERMONT: MacKenzie played for the Waterloo Blackhawks in the United States Hockey League in 2007-08 ... He notched four goals and 14 assists for 18 points ... His plus-7 rating ranked second best on the team ... He helped lead Waterloo to the USHL Championship and recorded six assists and a plus-2 rating in 11 playoff games ... He ranked third among USHL defenseman in playoff assists and sixth overall in scoring ... MacKenzie is a former teammate of current Catamount Jack Downing '11, as the two played together at Taft School in Connecticut during the 2005-06 season ... That year Taft went 21-5 and made it to the New England Prep School Championship game ... Went on to be selected in the seventh round (209th overall) of the 2007 NHL Draft by the Buffalo Sabres.
