CAREER HONORS:
• Hockey East All-Academic Team (2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13)
• Captain (2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14)

SENIOR SEASON (2013-14): Served as a co-captain, becoming just the third three-year captain in program history and only the second since 1965 ... Skated in all but one game and finished eighth on the team in scoring with 13 points on four goals and a career-high nine assists ... Posted a combined five points (two goals, three assists) in back-to-back games vs. Maine (Nov. 30) and at St. Lawrence (Dec. 14) ... Scored in a 6-2 win at Boston University (Jan. 25) ... Tallied a goal vs. No. 1 Boston College (Feb. 14) ... Had an assist in each of the first two games of the Hockey East Quarterfinals at No. 8 UMass Lowell, including the primary assist on the overtime game-winner in Game 2.

JUNIOR SEASON (2012-13): Served as team captain for the second straight year ... Played in all 36 games and posted five goals and five assists for 10 points ... Skated in his 100th career game against No. 19 Boston University (Mar. 1) ... Netted an insurance goal against Providence (Nov. 3) in a 2-0 shutout win ... Had two goals in a three-game span against Providence (Dec. 20) and Princeton (Dec. 30) ... Scored twice in the final three series of the season vs. No. 5 New Hampshire (Feb. 22) and No. 6 Boston College (Mar. 8) ... Posted 65 shots on goal during the season.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2011-12): Served as a co-captain of the team ... Skated in 33 of 34 games and all 27 Hockey East contests for the second straight year ... Was tied for fourth on the team with a career-high seven goals and finished the year with eight points ... Ranked third on the team with 84 shots on goal ... Netted the first two multi-goal games of his career as both came against New Hampshire (Nov. 12 and Feb. 17) ... His second goal of each contest tied the game with under 1:30 remaining in regulation ... Scored a shorthanded goal in the first meeting with UNH ... Also tallied goals against Dartmouth (Nov. 27) and Providence (Jan. 15) ... Scored the team's only goal at No. 1 Boston College on Mar. 2 ... Named to the Hockey East Top Performer List twice.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2010-11) Lenz was one of two freshmen to play in all 36 games … Had two goals and five assists for seven points … Picked up his first career goal in a 5-3 win over No. 8 Boston College (Nov. 13) ... Added a goal in Vermont’s 7-1 win over Providence (Feb. 5) … Recorded an assist and five shots on goal at Providence (Nov. 6) … Was a plus-2 in Hockey East games.

BEFORE VERMONT: Lenz played for Des Moines in the USHL in 2009-10 and was a teammate of Connor Brickley … He was third on the Buccaneers in scoring with 48 points (21 G, 27 A) in 59 games … His 21 goals were tied for second most on the team and he had six power-play tallies … Was a team captain … Posted 29 goals and 76 points in 119 career games with Des Moines … Attended Shattuck-St. Mary’s from 2003 to 2007 … Played hockey and lacrosse at Shattuck-St. Mary’s.

PERSONAL: Howard Thomas Lenz III the son of Tom and Beth Lenz of Vienna, Va. … Has two siblings: Charlotte and Theo … Lists Alex Ovechkin as one of his favorite athletes … Enrolled in the School of Arts and Sciences.
