Had 7 assists and a +4 in 21 Hockey East games ... His 2 goals came at Dartmouth (11/28) and vs. RPI (12/30), while season-high 2 assists at New Hampshire (11/13) and at Merrimack (2/19)
JUNIOR SEASON (2020-21 Cornell): Did not compete due to COVID-19 shutdown at Ivy League schools
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2019-20 Cornell): Racked up 3 goals and 4 assists for 7 points and plus-10 rating in just 10 games at Cornell … Led team with plus-9 rating in February — a month in which the Big Red a perfect 9-0.

PRIOR TO COLLEGE: Finished the 2017-18 season with the British Columbia Hockey League's Salmon Arm Silverbacks after being traded from the Penticton Vees … Accumulated a combined 21 points over 40 games … Helped Penticton win the BCHL title in 2016-17, going on to compete in the RBC Cup.
PERSONAL: Joseph Francis Leahy is the son of Frank Leahy and Lisa Bauer-Leahy, and he has four sisters and two brothers … Mother competed for Canadian national field hockey at the 1984 Olympics … Great uncle, Bobby Bauer, was an NHL veteran with the Boston Bruins and is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame … Great uncle, David Bauer, is also a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, as well as the IIHF Hall of Fame … He established the first permanent Canadian national hockey team for the 1964 Olympics and later served as coach and general manager.
