BEFORE VERMONT: Turk spent four seasons with the Okotoks Oilers in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) and was a teammate of Caylen Walls in 2011-12 ... Was also a teammate of Catamount forward Kyle Reynolds for three years (2008-2009 to 2010-2011) ... He is the Oilers' all-time leader with 182 games played ... Also the team's second leading all-time scorer behind Reynolds with 153 career points ... Set new career-highs in goals (30), assists (32), and points (62) during his final season and led Okotoks in all three major offensive categories.
