He moved from defense to forward seamlessly and became our most consistent forward down the stretch. AS A SENIOR (2010-11): Burrows played in all 36 games tallying three goals and eight assists for 11 points … Had a pair of assists in a 5-3 loss to No. 9 Denver in the season opener (Oct. 8) … Scored a goal against No. 14 Boston University (Jan. 9) … Tallied a power-play goal in Vermont’s 2-1 win over Massachusetts (Jan. 21) … Netted his third goal of the season at No. 14 Merrimack (Jan. 29) … Won 172 face-offs and fired 65 shots on goal … Signed a standard player contract with the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL following the season.
AS A JUNIOR (2009-10): Burrows played in 35 of 39 games … Played the first 24 games of the season on defense before moving to forward for the final 11 contests … Had six goals and three assists for nine points … Posted 65 shots and two game-winning goals … Named the Hockey East Player of the Week once (March 1) … Scored a goal in a 5-4 loss at No. 1 Denver in the season opener on Oct. 9 … Had a pair of assists in a 6-2 loss to No. 9 Massachusetts on Nov. 24 … Notched the game-winning goal in a 3-0 shutout of St. Lawrence on Dec. 12 … Recorded three goals in a weekend sweep of No. 20 Boston University at Gutterson Fieldhouse in games televised on NESN and ESPNU on Feb. 26 and 28 … Named the Hockey East Player of the Week for his performance.
