SOPHOMORE SEASON (2012-13): Skated in 11 games and posted three assists, which all came in a four-game span from Dec. 5 to Dec. 29 ... Collected an assist at No. 10 Dartmouth (Dec. 5) and St. Lawrence (Dec. 15) ... Added another helper in the Sheraton/TD Bank Catamount Cup in a 2-1 win over No. 12 Union ... Was called for just one penalty and took 12 shots on the year.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2011-12): Played in 33 of 34 games, posting 11 points on a goal and 10 assists ... Ranked seventh on the team in scoring and third among rookies ... Saw time on the team's second power play unit ... Recorded his first career multi-point game against Maine (Dec. 2) with a goal (his first career tally) and an assist ... Had an assist in each game of the Catamount Cup against No. 16 Lake Superior State (Dec. 29) and No. 11 Ferris State (Dec. 30) ... Talled two assists in a 4-3 overtime win at New Hampshire (Feb. 17), and was named to the Hockey East Top Performer List the following week ... Assisted on Vermont's goal at No. 1 Boston College at the end of the season (Mar. 2).

BEFORE VERMONT: Montagna played for the Waterloo Black Hawks in the United States Hockey League in 2010-11 ... Had eight goals and 18 assists, which was tied for third on the team ... His 11 power play assists ranked second on the team ... Played for the Syracuse Stars in the Eastern Junior Hockey League in 2008-09 and 2009-10 ... Led the Stars in scoring in 2008-09 and was named a league All-Star ... Ranked second in the league that year in assists (51) and fourth in points (67) ... Attended G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton, N.Y. ... Played one year of lacrosse and was named the team's offensive MVP.
