BEFORE VERMONT: Santaguida won the 2013 BCHL Goaltending Award and earned Second Team All-Star honors in the Coastal Conference for the Surrey Eagles ... Guided Surrey to BCHL regular season and playoff titles as the Eagles went on to capture the inaugural Western Canada Cup ... Led the league in nearly every major goaltending category, posting a 29-10-3 record, 2.28 goals against average, .932 save percentage, and a pair of shutouts ... Elevated his game in the BCHL postseason, going 14-3-0 with a 1.65 GAA, .955 SV%, and four shutouts to lead all goalies ...
