BEFORE VERMONT: Massar sat out the 2011-12 season at Vermont due to NCAA transfer rules but practiced with the team ... He spent the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons playing at Clarkson University in the ECAC ... Posted a goal and an assist in 19 career games for the Golden Knights ... Played for the Green Mountain Glades in the Eastern Junior Hockey League in 2008-09 ... He was the team's second-leading scorer with 54 points in 36 games and was named a EJHL All-Star ...
