JUNIOR SEASON (2011-12): Stålberg signed a NHL entry level contract with the San Jose Sharks following his junior season (Mar. 14) ... Concluded his Vermont career with 78 points (27 G, 51 A) in 106 career games ... Played in all 34 games and led the Catamounts in scoring for the second straight year in 2011-12 ... Posted 31 points on 12 goals and 19 assists to rank first on the team in all three categories ... Named to the Hockey East Top Performer List a team-high seven times ... Nine of his 12 goals came against nationally ranked teams ... Set a new career-high with nine multi-point games ... Finished the regular season ranked among the top-20 scorers in Hockey East ... Was second in the league with 20 power play points ... Had two goals against No. 8 Minnesota in the second game of the season, including the game-winner (Oct. 23) ... Named the Hockey East Co-Player of the Week the next day on Oct. 24 ... Scored a power play goal against No. 9 Merrimack in Vermont's home opener for his 50th career point (Oct. 23) ... Tallied a season-high three points (2 G, 1 A) at No. 9 UMass Lowell (Feb. 4) ... Played in his 100th career game and posted his 50th career assist in the same game against No. 4 Boston College (Feb. 10) ... SOPHOMORE SEASON (2010-11): Stålberg played in all 36 games for the Catamounts … Led the team in points (28) and assists (19) and was second on the team in goals with nine … Finished tied for 24th in Hockey East in assists and tied for 26th in points … Tied for first on the team with four power play goals … Named to the Hockey East Top Performers list six different times … Scored a goal in Game 1 of the Hockey East Quarterfinals at No. 2 seed UNH … Provided the game-winning goal against UMass-Lowell (March 5), a 4-2 victory at Gutterson Fieldhouse on Senior Night … Tallied a goal against No. 7 Boston College ... Had a pair of goals and an assist at No. 19 Dartmouth in a game televised on ESPNU ... Scored a goal at St. Lawrence (Dec. 18) ... Tallied a power-play goal and an assist at Northeastern ... Had a power-play goal in each game at No. 18 Maine (Feb. 11/12) ... Had eight multi-point games, with six      goals and 12 assists in those contests … Of those eight games, four were against ranked teams … Led the team with 128 shots on goal … Went 13-for-17 in face-offs    in the season-opener against No. 9 Denver.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2009-10): Stålberg played in 36 of 39 games and led all UVM rookies in scoring with six goals and 13 assists for 19 points … Ranked second on the team in shots with 84 and had a plus-5 rating … Had 14 points (5g, 9a) in 25 Hockey East games to rank tied for eighth in the league amongst rookies in scoring … Named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team ... Stålberg was named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week on three occasions (Jan. 18, Feb. 8 and Feb. 22) … Recorded his first career point with an assist in the season opener in a 5-4 loss at No. 1 Denver on Oct. 9 … Scored a goal and recorded two assists in a pair of wins against Alabama-Huntsville and No. 12 Minnesota-Duluth in the Sheraton/TD Bank Catamount Cup on Jan. 2 and 3 … Notched a goal and had an assist in a 9-2 victory at home against Northeastern on Jan. 16 … Named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week for his performance … Posted a goal and had a pair of assists in a 5-1 victory at Providence on Feb. 5 … Named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week for his effort … Had a three-point weekend (1g, 2a) in a loss and a tie at No. 13 New Hampshire on Feb. 19 and 20 on his way to being named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week … Scored Vermont’s only goal in a 1-1 tie at UMass-Lowell in the regular season finale on March 6 in a contest that clinched a spot for the Catamounts in the Hockey East Quarterfinals … Had an assist in a 3-2 loss to eventual national runner-up and top-seeded Wisconsin in the first round of the NCAA West Regional at the Xcel Energy Center on March 26 ... Received the team's George Buzzell Rookie of the Year Award.

BEFORE VERMONT: Stålberg played for the Frolunda Indians in Sweden in 2008-09 ... He posted 18 goals and 24 assists for 42 points in 41 games ... Won the Swedish Junior Championship with Frolunda in 2007-08.

PERSONAL: Sebastian Stålberg the son of Eddy and Maria Stålberg of Gothenburg, Sweden ... Sebastian is the younger brother of Viktor Stålberg '09, who was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award and a First-Team NCAA All-American for the Catamounts in 2008-09 ... Viktor now plays for the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL ... Also has an older brother Alexander ... Lists Usain Bolt as his favorite athlete ... Undecided on a major.
