JUNIOR SEASON (2016-17): Saw action 31 games, posting three goals and seven assists for 10 points ... Registered a team-high plus-13 rating ... BEFORE VERMONT: As a member of the Canmore Eagles, Phillips earned the 2014 Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) MVP award and was recognized as the Top Defenceman in Canadian Junior A hockey ... Serving as an assistant captain, he led the team and ranked seventh in the league in scoring with 65 points on 25 goals and 40 assists ... Netted 12 power play goals and four game-winners in 58 contests for the Eagles ... Added seven points in nine playoff contests ...
