Led the team with a plus-7 rating ... Recorded his first multi-point night of the year with two assists against UMass Amherst (Nov. 15) ... Tallied a career-high three points at home against New Hampshire (Jan. 2) ... Added an assist in a winning effort over Massachusetts (Jan. 23) ... Registered an assist at home against No. 2 Boston College (Feb. 19) ... Scored the game-tying goal in Game 2 of the Hockey East Opening Round at Connecticut (Mar. 5) ... Added an assist in Game 3 of the Hockey East Quarterfinal at No. 3 Boston College (Mar. 13) ... Finished the season with 44 shots on goal and 39 blocked shots to rank third on the team.

JUNIOR SEASON (2014-15): Skated in all 41 games and registered five assists ... Assisted on the game-winning goal at No. 16 Providence (Nov. 15) ... Picked up an assist two games later in an 11-1 win at UMass (Nov. 22) ... Posted an assist in Games 1 and 2 of the Hockey East Quarterfinal at No. 9 Boston College (Mar. 13-14) ... Finished the year with 32 shots on goal and 35 blocked shots ... Was only called for eight penalties. 

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2013-14): Skated in 37 of 38 games and posted five assists, four of which came in Hockey East play ... Registered 16 shots on goal and a plus-3 rating on the season ... Posted an assist in the Philadelphia College Hockey Faceoff vs. Penn State (Oct. 26) ... Had an assist in each game of a road sweep at No. 20 New Hampshire (Feb. 7-8) ... Also picked up assists vs. No. 1 Boston College (Feb. 15) and at Merrimack (Feb. 22). 

FRESHMAN SEASON (2012-13): Skated in all but one game on defense during his rookie year, including 35 straight ... Posted three goals and four assists for seven points ... Six of his points came in a seven-game stretch from Nov. 24 to Dec. 29 ... Registered his first collegiate point against No. 4 Minnesota at home (Nov. 24) ... Scored his first career goal at Maine in a 2-1 win (Nov. 30) ... Two games later, netted a pair of goals at No. 10 Dartmouth for his first multi-point and multi-goal game (Dec. 5) ... Assisted on the game-winner vs. No. 12 Union in the Sheraton/TD Bank Catamount Cup ... Grabbed an assist in Game 1 of the Hockey East Quarterfinals at No. 5 Boston College (Mar. 15).

BEFORE VERMONT: Pattyn was one of the best offensive defensemen in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) while skating for the Portage Terriers ... During the 2011-12 season, he posted the eighth highest assist total (29) among league defensemen ... Led all Portage blueliners with 34 points in 59 contests ... Tallied nine points (4 G, 5 A) in 15 playoff games and helped the Terriers to their second straight Anavet Cup as champions of Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

PERSONAL: Yvan Pattyn the son of Mitch and Denise Pattyn of Ste. Anne, Manitoba ... Has an older brother Stephane who played on the men's hockey team at North Dakota, serving as team captain in 2014-15 ... Attended Ecole Pointe-des-Chenes in Ste. Anne, Manitoba ... Played volleyball from 2005 to 2007 ... Lists Sidney Crosby as his favorite athlete and the Los Angeles Kings as his favorite team ... Majoring in community entrepreneurship.
