AS A JUNIOR (2014): Ranked third on the team in goals (16) and fifth in points (20) … Scored the game-winning goal in the team’s win over Sacred Heart … Finished the year with back-to-back three-goal performances … Registered a season-high five points on three goals and two assists in the season finale vs. UMBC … Collected multiple poins in six different contests … Finished the year with 14 ground balls and four caused turnovers

AS A SOPHOMORE (2013): Played in all 14 games, made one start at UMBC … Finished fifth on the team in goals (7) … Scored the game-winning goal in win over Wagner … Tallied a goal in the season-opener vs. No. 10 Colgate … Tallied a pair of goals in contests vs. Bryant and Stony Brook … Scored a goal at eighth-ranked Virginia

AS A FRESHMAN (2012): Played in 12 of the team’s 14 games as a rookie … Finished sixth on the team in goals scored (4) and eighth in points (4) … Scored a goal in his first collegiate game at #19 Colgate … Followed that up with a goal at #14 Harvard … Also scored against Fairfield and in a win at home over Binghamton.

BEFORE VERMONT: Comes to Vermont after playing lacrosse, basketball and football at Ridgefield High School … A team captain as a senior, he was also named to the All-FCIAC First Team, first team all-state, an All-American and the MVP of the Connecticut All-Star Game … He finished his senior year with 61 goals and 15 assists in leading Ridgefield to a Connecticut Class L State Championship.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Richard and Sue Buckanavage … Has three younger siblings, Jake, Alex and Avery … Is a business administration major.
