SENIOR SEASON (2020): Captained the team and started all four games at attack … Finished the season with seven goals and four assists for 11 points … Recorded a career-high three assists at Holy Cross (Feb. 15) … Tallied the game-winner and added an assist against Quinnipiac (Feb. 22) … Recorded a hat trick and last-second game-winner against Merrimack (Feb. 29) … Added another hat trick against Dartmouth (Mar. 7) … Added nine ground balls and a caused turnover. *

JUNIOR SEASON (2019): Earned Second Team All-Conference honors after leading the Catamounts in goals and with a career-high 29 tallies ... Started all 15 games and tallied a career-high 38 points in 2019 ... Tallied a season-high six points in Vermont's 21-6 win over Utah (Feb. 1) to open the season ... Matched a career-best with five goals in Vermont's 15-6 win over Hartford (Mar. 23) ... Posted 10 multi-point games.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2018): Played in 15 games and made 14 starts in Vermont’s most successful season in program history ... His .511 shot percentage ranked ninth in the NCAA ... Finished the season third on the team in goals (24) and totaled 28 points ... At one point of the season, had the ninth-longest active goal streak in the country at 17 consecutive games.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2017): Appeared in all 13 games at attack, earning 12 starts ... Logged 36 points on 25 goals and 11 assists ... French’s 25 goals led the team ... Through the end of April, his 2.77 points per game average led all America East freshmen and was 11th in the country among rookies ... Scored four goals and added two assists in his collegiate debut at Furman (Feb. 2) ... In that game, forced overtime with the game-tying goal with under 15 seconds left in regulation ... Netted the game-tying tally again at Mercer (Feb. 4) ... Against Holy Cross (Feb. 18), contributed five goals and an assist ... Dating back to Virtue Field’s opening in 2012, no Catamount had previously hit the five-goal mark ... Earned America East Offensive Player of the Week (Feb. 20) honors following the Holy Cross game ... Chipped in two goals and an assist in a win at UMass Lowell (April 8) ... Also scooped three ground balls ...  Was part of a Vermont group that started 3-0 for the first time since 2001.

BEFORE UVM: Comes to UVM from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, where he played lacrosse ... Scored 40 goals and tallied 33 assists in 2016 ... Captained the team in 2015 and 2016 ... Was a US Lacrosse All-American selection in 2015 ... In 2016, was part of the Canadian U19 team that took silver at the FIL World Championship ... Also previously played football and hockey.
 
PERSONAL: Is the son of Dean and Jane French ... Has two siblings, Joe and Emily ... Brother, Joe, plays lacrosse at the University of Virginia ... Grandfather, Joe Pal, spent time in the Canadian Football League with the Hamilton Tigers and Montreal Alouettes ... Intends to major in economics.
