AS A SENIOR (2014): Played in 12 games and made four starts … Ranked second on the team in caused turnovers (19) and fourth in ground balls (31) … Collected a season-high five ground balls in back-to-back contests vs. Wagner and Sacred Heart … Forced a season-high four caused turnvoers against UMBC … Registered eight games with multiple ground balls … Forced multiple turnovers in seven games

AS A JUNIOR (2012): Played in all 14 games on the year … Finished with five points on a goal and four assists … Had a goal and an assist in Vermont’s 12-11 victory over Sacred Heart … Recorded an assist in three straight games against Albany, Binghamton and Dartmouth.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2011): Played in all 15 games, making five starts for the Catamounts … Finished the year with nine points on three goals and six assists … Scored a goal in each of Vermont’s first two games of the season, wins over Colgate and Air Force … Handed out assists against St. John’s, Brown, Holy Cross and Albany … Scored a goal and handed out two assists at Dartmouth.

AS A FRESHMAN (2010): Virtue played in 16 games and made 10 starts … Ranked fifth on the team in scoring with three goals and 11 assists for 14 points … Had 25 shots and eight ground balls … Posted five multi-point games … Recorded his first career point in an 11-10 loss at Colgate on March 2 … Scored twice in an 18-7 loss at No. 1 Virginia on March 16 … Had an assist in a 13-6 win at Hartford on April 17 … Scored a goal and had an assist in a 16-10 loss at No. 8 Stony Brook on May 1.

BEFORE VERMONT: Virtue played lacrosse, football and basketball at Brunswick High School in Greenwich, Conn. ... Recorded 25 goals and 15 assists for 40 points as senior on the lacrosse team ... Was a member of the Hudson Valley Empire Team that won a bronze medal at the Empire Games.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Ted and Dani Virtue ... Dani was a two-time all-american skier at Middlebury and Ted played football at Middlebury ... Has three siblings: Matt, Tucker and Taylor ... His brother Matt played lacrosse  at Middlebury and his brother Tucker played lacrosse at Duke ... His uncle Andrew Shaw is a UVM Hall of Famer (skiing) ... Is majoring in business.
