AS A SOPHOMORE (2011): Appeared in 13 games and made nine starts in his first year with the Catamounts … Finished sixth on the team in goals (10) and seventh in points (12) … Handed out two assists in his first game at Vermont in a win over Colgate … Recorded his first two goals in a 7-5 win over Bryant … Scored twice at Brown … Earned a pair of goals in a home win vs. Holy Cross … Recorded a hat trick as the Cats defeated Albany for the first time since 2001.

BEFORE UVM: Transferred to Vermont from Delaware … Attended Worcester Academy where he also played football and wrestled … Named an All-American in lacrosse in 2007 and 2008 … Earned All-New England honors in wrestling (2004 and 2005) and in football (2006).

PERSONAL: Is the son of Sandy and Kevin Ryder … Has one younger brother, Kirk … His mother Sandy attended UVM … Plans to major in history.
