GRADUATE SEASON (2023): Started 11 games in cage and finished the year with a 9.77 GAA and a .553 save percentage – both ranked seventh in the country … picked up his first career win against Boston University on Feb. 11 … four-time America East Defensive Player of the Week … registered double-digit saves eight times … stopped a career-high 19 shots at UMBC on April 29 … made 16 saves in the season-opener at Syracuse … finished the year with an 8-3 record … named to the America East All-Conference Second Team.

SENIOR SEASON (2022): Saw action in seven games off the bench in cage…finished the year allowing just four goals in 24 minutes of action…made five saves to post a .556 save percentage…picked up two ground balls…made two saves in a win over Bryant (3/5).

JUNIOR SEASON (2021): Saw action in two games off the bench  in cage ... made seven saves to just three goals allowed for a .700 save percentage.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2020): Did not see game action. *

FRESHMAN SEASON (2019): Made his collegiate debut in Vermont's 20-10 win over Quinnipiac (Feb. 23) ... Saw extended minutes in Vermont's 15-6 win over Hartford (Mar. 23) ... Tallied a season-best three saves without allowing a goal at Binghamton (Apr. 13).

BEFORE VERMONT: Played four years of lacrosse at Tabor Academy ... Named All-ISL Honorable Mention as a senior in 2018.

PERSONAL: Son of Mark and Patricia Shaffer ... Older sister, Meghan, attends Holy Cross ... Cousin, Teddy, played hockey at Boston College ... Cousin, Timmy, plays hockey at Maine ... Cousin, Liam, plays lacrosse at Saint Lawrence ... Chose UVM because it gave him the ability to study at a great university while being able to play lacrosse at the highest level with an unbelievable coaching staff ... Intends to major in Economics.
