AS A SENIOR (2011): Played in all 15 games for the Catamounts, making four starts … Finished second on the team in ground balls with 55 … Grabbed a season-high eight ground balls in a 7-5 win over Bryant … Caused five turnovers in a win over St. John’s and also at #16 Denver … Scored his lone goal of the season in the win over St. John’s at home.
AS A JUNIOR (2010): Gradinger played in all 16 games and made nine starts … Ranked first on the team with 60 ground balls … Had one goal and one assist … Had an assist and three ground balls in a 7-4 loss to Bryant on Feb. 20 … Recorded six ground balls in a 13-11 loss at home to Marist on March 4 … Recorded four ground balls in an 18-7 loss at No. 1 Virginia on March 16 … Scored a goal and had three ground balls in an 8-7 loss to St. John’s on March 20 … Had five ground balls in an 11-8 win against Binghamton in the America East opener on April 3 … Picked up a season-high seven ground balls in a 9-4 loss at Albany on April 11.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2009): Gradinger played in all 14 games and had a team leading 41 ground balls … Had one goal and one assist … Named to the America East Academic Honor Roll … Had five ground balls in a 13-7 loss to Notre Dame on March 21 in the Patriot Cup at SMU Ford Field in Dallas, Texas … Grabbed four ground balls in a 10-8 loss at Stony Brook on April 4 … Had five ground balls and an assist in an 8-4 loss at Binghamton on April 10 … Scored a goal in a 9-6 loss against Albany on April 19 at Moulton Winder Field.
AS A FRESHMAN (2008): Gradinger was one of only two UVM freshman to play in all 16 games … Was seventh on the team with 29 ground balls … Recorded three ground balls in a 9-8 win against Fairfield on April 1 and a 12-10 victory at Marist on April 8.
BEFORE VERMONT: Gradinger played four years of lacrosse and one year of football at Torrey Pines High School in Del Mar, Calif. … He led Torrey Pines to a San Diego sectional title as a senior and was the San Diego Union Tribune Player of the Year … Went on to be named a U.S. Lacrosse All-American … He had five goals, seven assists and 136 ground balls as a senior … He was named First-Team North County and First-Team All-Section.
