GRADUATE SEASON (2022): Started all 19 games in cage and tied the program record for wins in a season with 12…three-time America East Defensive Player of the Week…first Catamount to ever be named America East Defensive Player of the Year…finished the season with a 8.91 goals against average (fourth nationally) and a .556 save percentage (11^th)…made 10 or more saves 12 times and ranked third on the team with 62 ground balls…allowed single-digit goals in nine games and five or less six times…made a career-high 18 saves at UMass on March 16…stopped 12 or 13 shots against UMBC on April 2 and eight of nine against NJIT on March 19…recorded a pair of assists (at Duke, vs. UMBC)…named to the America East All-Conference First Team and All-Academic Team and was an ECAC Honorable Mention selection.

SENIOR SEASON (2021): Started all 14 games in cage ... Finished the season with over 800 minutes of action and 152 saves ... Posted a .514 save percentage ... Made a career-high 15 saves vs. UAlbany on April 28 and against Stony Brook on May 6 in the America East Semifinals ... Two-time America East Defensive Player of the Week Selection (March 15 & 22) ... Finished the year with 36 ground balls and four caused turnovers ... Stopped 14 shots in Vermont's first-ever win at UAlbany (March 13) ... Made 12 saves in the NCAA Tournament against Maryland (May 16) ... Named to the All-New England Second Team.

JUNIOR SEASON (2020): Recorded 10 saves in the first half of the season opener at Holy Cross (Feb. 15) … Recorded six saves in the second half against Quinnipiac (Feb. 22) … Made five saves in the second half and picked up his first collegiate win to close the season against Dartmouth (Mar. 7) … Finished the season with a 7.21 goals against average and .656 save percentage. *

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2019): Did not see game action.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2018): Saw action in four games and made nine saves ... Finished the season with a 13.90 goals against average and a .450 save percentage.

BEFORE VERMONT: Played lacrosse at Darien High School ... Four-time FCIAC Champion, four-time Connecticut state champion ... Captained the team his senior year and won 2017 National Championship ... Two-time First Team All-FCIAC ... Two-time First Team All-State selection ... Two-time U.S. Lacrosse All-American ... 2017 Under Armour All-American.

PERSONAL: Son of Kelly and Jim Cornell ... Brother, Kyle, plays lacrosse at Bryant ... Chose UVM for the academic and athletic programs ... Favorite teams are the New York Rangers, New York Yankees, and New England Patriots.
