Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2011): Competed in two races, finished 22nd in the Middlebury Carnival in the 10k freestyle and 45th in the 10k classic at the Colby Carnival.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2010): Talbot did not compete.
AS A FRESHMAN (2009): Talbot finished 16th in the men's 20k freestyle at the Bates Carnival on Jan. 24 ... Finished 16th in the 10k freestyle at the Vermont Carnival on Feb. 7 ... Was 24th in the 20k freestyle at the Eastern Championships hosted by Colby on Feb. 28.
BEFORE VERMONT: Talbot comes to Vermont after skiing for two state championship teams (2005, 2007) at Robert Service High School in Anchorage, Alaska ... Robert Service H.S. finished second in the state in 2006 and 2008 ... Named to the Alaska All-State Ski Team in 2007-08 ... Had a pair of third-place finishes and Junior Nationals in 2008 ... Also ran cross-country for two years at Robert Service.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Bruce and Jennifer Talbot of Anchorage, Alaska ... Has one brother Silas ... Has five relatives that have attended Vermont, including his father Bruce, who is a 1974 graduate of UVM .. Majoring in environmental sciences.
