2014: Won four races on the EISA Circuit, including sweeping the GS and slalom events at the Colby Carnival ... Was on the podium eight times in 2014 ... Finished fourth in the GS at the EISA Championships ... Finished the year as the points leader in the GS on the EISA Circuit ... Named to the EISA All-East First Team for a second straight season ... Closed out the season with an eighth place finish in the slalom at the NCAA Championships, helping Vermont move up from fifth place to second on the final day.
2013: Competed in eight races on the EISA Circuit and made UVM’s NCAA squad … Won the slalom at the Middlebury Carnival … Appeared on the podium six times … Was third in both the GS and slalom at the EISA Championships.
2012: Only competed in one race before suffering an injury, did not return the rest of the year.
2011: Did not compete due to injury.
BEFORE VERMONT: Dawson attended the National Sport School in Calgary, Alberta … Was the 2008 Canadian Alpine Junior Athlete of the Year … Also was the Canadian Juvenile slalom and giant slalom champion … Member of the Canadian National Alpine Team from 2007-10 ... Represented Canada at three World Junior Championships ... Earned a spot on the podium in five Nor-Am races ... Was a forerunner at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.
PERSONAL: Travis Dawson is the son of Robert and Shirley Dawson of Calgary, Alberta … Has two siblings: Taylor and Aurora … Lists Jarome Iginla as one of his favorite athletes … Enjoys playing the guitar … Is a geology major.
