Biography

BEFORE VERMONT: Bangura comes to UVM after attending Loughborough University in the United Kingdom where he played soccer for three seasons … During the 2023-24 season, he appeared in 57 matches, recording 16 goals and 21 assists … During the 2024-25 season, he tallied 11 goals and 14 assists in 50 matches ... He helped lead Loughborough a BUCS Championship in 2025 ... Bangura earned Players' Player of the Season honors in 2025, was named to the Team of the Season in 2025, and finished as the BUCS Premier Division's top goal scorer in 2025 ... He also led the team in assists with 21 during the 2023-24 season and surpassed 100 career appearances in 2025 ... Bangura also competed for the Vermont Green FC as a midfielder during the squads highly successful, undefeated 2026 USL League Two season.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Alie Bangura and Mariama Kandeh … Has one sibling, Hamid … Majoring in Economics … His biggest influence as an athlete is Christiano Ronaldo.
