Was the seventh Catamount to finish at the UMass Invitational with a season-best mark of 24:52 ... Was 33rd overall at the season-opening home meet with a time of 29:15 in his Vermont debut.

Pomperaug High School in Southbury, Conn. ... Four-year member of the cross country team ... Team captain as a senior in 2009 ... Three-year participant in track & field ... Ran the 4x400 and 4x800 relays ... Also a goaltender for the hockey team in 2006 and 2007 and a two-year letterwinner in wrestling.
