2011 OUTDOOR SEASON: Competed in five meets during the outdoor season … Set a career best in the 1,500m with a time of 4:29.96 at the UNH Wildcat Invitational … At the 2011 America East Outdoor Track and Field Championships he finished 33rd overall in the 800m with a time of 2:02.10.

2011 INDOOR SEASON: Competed in eight events during the indoor campaign … At the 2011 America East Indoor Track and Field Championships Ruiz ran the 800m in a career best time of 2:00.66.
