FIRST YEAR OUTDOOR SEASON (2025): Opened his outdoor season coming in fourth in the 5000 at the Jim Boulanger Invitational (Apr. 5) … Came in 30th in the 1500 at the UMass Commonwealth Invitational (Apr. 12) … Finished 14th in the 5000 at the George Davis Invitational (Apr. 19) … Placed 42nd in the 1500 at the UMass Pre-Conference Meet (Apr. 25) … Earned 40th in the 5000 at the America East Championships (May 3-4) … Recorded a 26th place finish in the 5000 at the NEICAAA Championships (May 10).
FIRST-YEAR INDOOR SEASON (2025): Started off his indoor season at the New Balance Early Bird Invite (Dec. 7), competing in the mile race…Metzger competed in the mile race at the Dartmouth Invite (Dec. 13-14) and secured a seventh-place finish…He raced the 3000m at the Dartmouth Relays (Jan. 11), earning a tenth-place finish…At the Middlebury Winter Classic (Jan. 17-18), he competed in the 800m and mile races, securing fourth and 15th place finishes…Ran the 3000m race at the Riverhawk Invitational (Jan. 24-25)…Recorded two personal best times of 2:02.29 and 4:26.46 in the 800m and mile races at the Scarlet Knight Open (Jan. 31)…Competed in the 3000m race at the Showdown at The Heights (Feb. 7-8)…Finished out the season with a personal best time of 8:53.35 in the 3000m race at the America East Indoor Championship (Feb. 22-23).
