Douglass enters her second season as assistant Nordic ski coach at UVM. Before Vermont, she served as the assistant coach of the men's and women's cross country teams and spent two seasons as the assistant Nordic ski coach at Colby.

Douglass returns to the state of Vermont after she was the team director and coach for elite Nordic skiers from eastern Vermont high schools as well as coach of the Colchester (Vt.) High School Nordic program.

Douglass, who competed as a Nordic skier for St. Lawrence University and graduated from St. Lawrence in 2007, was one of two coaches for the Colchester High School team for the last seven years. In addition, she was team director for the Eastern Vermont High School Nordic program, comprising top high school skiers from the Green Mountain State.
A native of Farmington, Maine, Douglass skied for the St. Lawrence Saints in the 2004 and 2005 Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) seasons. A dean’s list student, Douglass, was active in the St. Lawrence Outing Club. In high school she was a Maine Class A state champion in Nordic skiing and she received Mt. Blue High School’s Nina Bitterauf Memorial Scholarship.
Douglass has a background in outdoor education as well as competitive skiing. A certified Wilderness First Responder, she has worked in Wyoming, California, and Vermont as an outdoor educator and adventure guide.

For the last seven years, Douglass has spent her off-snow time as an organic farmer in Vermont.
