Biography
AS A FRESHMAN (2011): Competed in two races on the year, placed 26th in the 10k classic at the Colby Carnival and was 46th in the 5k freestyle at the Dartmouth Carnival.
BEFORE VERMONT: Fichter was a member of the Nordic ski team at the Putney and Stratton Mountain Schools … Four-time participant in the Junior Nationals … Three-time High School All-American… Member of the Girls National Champion High School Team for three years … Last year she posted several top-10 finishes in TD Bank Eastern Cup races, including a second and a fourth in the Eastern Cup Openers 5k classic and freestyle sprint, respectively … Also nailed down a third-place finish in the Rumford Eastern Cup 10k freestyle, and culminated the season with a 3rd place finish at the USSA Junior Olympics in Presque Isle, Maine.
PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Joe and Laurie Fichter of Brattleboro, Vermont … She has two older siblings: Wilder and Julia … Majoring in exercise and movement sciences.
