Rally Awards HistoryBURLINGTON, Vt. - The 2015 Rally Awards, presented by Xfinity, will be held Tuesday (May 5) at 7:15 p.m. at the Flynn Theatre in downtown Burlington, Vermont. The Rally Awards is an all-sports celebration highlighting the accomplishments of the UVM student-athletes. The event is free and open to the public. The 2015 Rally Awards will be streamed live in HD for free via CatamounTV.com.All of Vermont's senior student-athletes and each team's MVP are honored at the Rally Awards. In addition, seven major department awards, with all the winners being announced via video presentations, are also handed out, they include the:Athletic Department Award - presented to a member of the faculty, staff or community in recognition of loyal support and continuing devotion to the UVM athletic programJeff Stone Memorial Award - recognizing exceptional contributions in community serviceUnderclass Athletic Achievement Award - recognizing outstanding athletic accomplishments by underclass student-athletesSemans Trophy - presented to the seniors who have excelled in the athletic arena and demonstrated exceptional leadershipRussell O. Sunderland Memorial Trophy - presented to the seniors who have persevered over obstacles in their careerWasson Athletic Prize - presented to the senior scholar-athletes at UVMJ. \r\nBURLINGTON, Vt. - The University of Vermont Athletic Department hosted the eighth edition of its annual Rally Awards on Tuesday night at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Burlington. The all-sports year-end event celebrated the accomplishments of the UVM student-athletes.
