Biography

BEFORE VERMONT: Last season McCormack finished third in slalom at the Alpine Canada National Championships hosted in Mont Edouard, Quebec  ... He also finished sixth in the GS and seventh in the Super G at the event ... McCormack represented Canada at the FIS Junior World Ski Championships in Val di Fassa, Italy last February ... His best finish was 37th in the Giant Slalom at the event.

PERSONAL: Son of Wendy Roberston and Christopher McCormack ... His sister Callum is a two-sport athlete competing in volleyball and alpine skiing at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario ... Both of Declan's parents also attended Queen's ... Declan considers Gary Player his biggest influence as an athlete, "He is nothing but kind and always gives one the time of day. His genuine love for all people and attitude towards life is inspiring."
