JUNIOR SEASON (2021): Opened the competitive season with a second place in the Craftsbury Kendall Cup 15k skate.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2020): Øvrum finished in the top-5 in the EISA five times during his sophomore campaign ... He started the campaign excelling at the Harvard Carnival ... He started the season placing second in the 10k Freestyle and then the next day he earned his first-ever EISA win in the 20k Classic ... In a fight to the finish Øvrum finished less than a tenth of a second ahead of Harvard's Remi Drolet to claim the top spot ... He earned his second EISA win at the EISA Championships hosted by Middlebury ... He led a UVM podium sweep of the 10k Freestyle helping the Catamounts claim their 37th EISA title and first since 2016 ... Matias finished 3rd overall in the EISA Freestyle standings and 3rd overall in the overall EISA standings.

FIRST-YEAR SEASON (2019): Finished 39th overall in the 15k Classic at the 2019 U.S. Cross-Country Ski Championships in Craftsbury, Vt. ... Earned three podiums in his first EISA campaign ... He placed 2nd in the 20k Classic at the UNH and the UVM carnival ... He placed third in the Sprint Skate at the UNH Carnival ... Øvrum was also the final leg on Vermont's relay winning team at the Dartmouth Carnival.

BEFORE VERMONT: Placed fourth overall in Norwegian Junior National Championship Sprint ... Earned fifth place at the Skiathlon Junior Norwegian Cup.
