2014 OUTDOOR SEASON: Won the 10,000-meter run in his first time competing in the distance at the America East Championships with a time of 30:36.34 ... Also placed eighth in the 5000-meter with a time of 14:44.75 ... Earned All-New England honors with fourth place in the 5000 with a personal record time of 14:36.49 ... Was All-IC4A in the 10K after running a time of 30:17.78 for fifth overall ... Won the 5000 at the Tufts Snowflake Classic and the UAlbany Spring Classic.
2014 INDOOR SEASON: Finished 11th in the 5000-meter (15:10.01) and 12th in the 3000-meter (8:39.94) at the America East Championships ... Earned All-New England honors with eighth place in the 3000 with a personal record of 8:30.49 ... Was second in the 3000 at the Armory Collegiate Invitational with a time of 8:33.49.
2013 OUTDOOR SEASON: Finished eighth in the 5000-meter at the America East Championships with a time of 15:15.01 ... Ran his best 5K time of 15:07.25 for 15th at the George Mason Invitational ... Took second in the 5K at the Dartmouth Tri Meet in 15:33.38 ... Placed third in the 3000 at the Wolfie Invitational with a time of 8:47.94.
2013 INDOOR SEASON: Did not compete.
2012 OUTDOOR SEASON: Competed in four events ... Ran his best 5000-meter time of the season at the Bryan Clay Invitational in California with a mark of 15:36.81 ... Placed eighth in his heat and 24th overall ... Was 13th overall at the George Davis Invitational with a time of 15:41.93 ... Posted a season-best time of 4:28.80 in the 1500-meter at Dartmouth to finish 17th.
2012 INDOOR SEASON: Competed in six events in the one mile and 3000-meter run ... Set new personal records in both races ... Finished 17th in the 3000-meter at the 2012 America East Indoor Championships with a career-best time of 8:34.71 ... Ran the best indoor mile time (4:29.09)

2011 OUTDOOR SEASON: Competed in seven events during the outdoor season … At the 2011 America East Outdoor Track and Field Championships he competed in the 5,000m finishing 16th for Vermont in a time of 15:15.22 … He also competed in the 2011 Outdoor New England Track and Field Championships finishing the 5,000m in 15:05.77 to place ninth overall.
2011 INDOOR SEASON: Competed in seven events during the indoor season … Had an standout performance at the Dartmouth Indoor Classic (Feb. 5) establishing career bests in the mile and 800m … At the 2011 America East Indoor Track and Field Championships, he finished the mile in 4:37.08 and placed 15th overall.
BEFORE VERMONT: Four year track and cross country participant at Windsor High School … Served as team captain for both teams … Named cross country team MVP in 2008 and 2009 … Cross country CCC All-Conference selection in 2008 and 2009.
PERSONAL: Son of Eric Szotka and Melissa Mac Klaus … Has a younger sister, Alexa … Lists Usain Bolt, Ryan Hall, and Tyson Gay as his favorite athletes … Is an environmental studies major at Vermont.
