2011 OUTDOOR SEASON: Lemieux posted a school record mark of 6737 points in the decathlon to capture his first career America East track and field title at the 2011 America East Outdoor Track and Field Championships … He hit a personal best in eight of the ten events and won the shot put, high jump, and javelin on his way to Vermont's first ever decathlon title … He was voted the 2011 men’s Outdoor Track and Field MVP … Lemieux was the male recipient of the Jeff Stone Memorial Award at Vermont's annual all-sports year-end event, the Rally Awards … The award recognizes exceptional contributions by a male and female student-athlete, in any class, in the area of community service and campus leadership … Lemieux was also named to the 2011 Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic team.
2011 INDOOR SEASON: Competed in seven meets during the 2011 indoor season … He set a personal best in the heptathlon with a mark of 4602 in a tri-meet with Middlebury and Saint Peters (1/20) … At the 2011 America East Indoor Track and Field Championships Lemieux finished 13th overall with a score of 4085.
BEFORE VERMONT: Came to Vermont from Manchester Memorial High School in Manchester N.H. ... Was a member of the track, cross country and basketball teams ... Holds the school record in the decathlon ... Was the 2007 and 2008 New Hampshire state decathlon champion ... Helped lead his team to the 2008 track and field state championships ... Was a member of the 4x400m team that set a school record ... Placed second overall at the 2008 Meet of Champions in the high jump ... Was the 2007 Class L state champion in the high jump ... Took home second place in the high jump at the 2007 New England Track and Field Championships ... Placed second in the high jump and third in the javelin at the 2007 Meet of Champions ...
