CAREER HONORS: 2008-09 America East Academic Honor Roll
2011 OUTDOOR SEASON: Competed in eight events during the outdoor season … Established a career best mark of 39.45m in the hammer throw at the Northeastern Spring Open finishing seventh overall … At the 2011 America East Outdoor Track and Field Championships she set a new career best in the discus throw topping the 40m mark for the first time in her career with a mark of 40.70m earning her a third place finish and All-America East honors.
2011 INDOOR SEASON: Competed in six events during the indoor season … Established a career best mark of 12.02m in the weight throw at the UNH Invitational (Feb. 12) finishing 11th overall.
BEFORE VERMONT: Came to Vermont from Fall Mountain Regional High School in Langdon, N.H. ... Was a member of the track, soccer and basketball teams ... Captained the track and field team her senior year ... Won the coach's award in 2005 and 2007 ... Was named Team MVP in 2006.
PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Bruce and Heidi Ferland of Charlestown, N.H. ... Has three siblings: Zachary, Jordan and Morgan ... Zachary is a member of the soccer team at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass. ... Is a biology major.
