Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2011-12): Saw action in 24 games … Missed six games with two different shoulder injuries … Started 16 contests, including the first five of the year … Scored a season-high 11 points, all from the free throw line (11-for-12), in a win over St. Joseph’s in the championship game of the TD Bank Classic … Finished the year averaging 2.6 points and ranked among the America East leaders in assists (3.0 apg).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2010-11): Saw action in all 30 games and made 25 starts … Ranked seventh among the America East leaders in minutes played, averaging 36.4 minutes per game … Played 40 minutes or more 12 times … Handed out a career-best 104 assists and ranked second among the league leaders in assist per game (4.0) … Scored a career-high nine points at UMBC (1/15/11) … Finished the season averaging 3.0 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.
AS A FRESHMAN (2009-10): Played in 23 games ... Missed the first three games due to illness ... Made her collegiate debut in a win over Dartmouth ... Came off the bench to play 14 minutes and contributed three points and three rebounds ... Scored a season-high five points versus Binghamton ... Played 19 minutes in a win over Albany at Patrick Gym ... Earned her first career start in the America East Quarterfinals versus Albany and played a season-high 21 minutes.
BEFORE VERMONT: Lalonde spent three years playing at Lasalle Secondary School in Sudbury ... As a senior she was invited to play for Canada Basketball’s National Elite Development Academy (NEDA) and attended St. Mary's High School in Hamilton, Ontario ... Lalonde made the varsity basketball team at Lasalle as a ninth grader ... She helped Lasalle win three city championships, three regional championships and advance to the provincial championships three times ... As a member of the Ontario Provincial team she guided the team to four gold medals at the National Championship Tournament ... In 2006, Lalonde was named to the First Team All-Canadian squad and was the leading scorer in the OFSAA Championships, averaging 22 points over five games ... As a junior, she led the league in scoring, three-point shooting and free throw percentage ... She averaged 16 points, 10 assists and three steals per game in 2007-08 ... As a senior, she was one of 12 high school players in Canada selected to participate in the NEDA program ... The NEDA teams compete against a variety of opponents: Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) and Canadian College (CCAA) teams; select NCAA teams; American Junior College teams; prep schools; AAU teams; elite women’s club teams; and local high school boys teams.
