Tyler Potter enters his second season as equipment manager for the University of Vermont women's hockey team.
Potter handled all equipment needs for the program and helped the Catamounts knock off future national champion Clarkson, WCHA champion Minnesota, and Hockey East champion Northeastern twice. UVM was 4-1-1 against the two finalists of the Hockey East championship, Northeastern and UConn.
Most recently, Potter spent two seasons around the ECHL in various equipment-related capacities. In 2016-17, he was the assistant equipment manager with the Orlando Solar Bears, the ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He packed and transported team gear and guided the head equipment manager with related duties on a day-to-day basis. Before heading to Florida, he was an equipment assistant with the Adirondack Thunder, which are affiliated with the New Jersey Devils.
While an undergraduate at SUNY Adirondack, Potter was an equipment assistant at the 2016 ECAC Men’s Hockey Championship as well as the NCAA Division III Men’s Hockey Championship. He also served a stint working the Miracle on Ice Fantasy Camp.
He is originally from Lake George, New York and currently resides in South Burlington.
