Barrett enters her first season with the Catamounts in 2019.

This summer, Barrett worked as a camp instructor at Duke's Elite Camp and at Endicott's Peak Goalie School.

She comes to UVM after serving as the interim head women's lacrosse coach at crosstown foe Saint Michael's last season. She earned her first career win in her first game at the helm and later produced an All-Northeast 10 selection in Emma Coleman. She also helped run the Purple Knights' girl's lacrosse camp from 2014-19. Prior to Saint Michael's, she was the varsity assistant coach at South Burlington High School and worked at 802 Lacrosse for five years.

Barrett is no stranger to the Catamounts and America East as the former goalie was a four-year starter at UMass Lowell. She served as team captain each season and participated in the 2018 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Senior All-Star Game. Barrett became the first player in River Hawks history to surpass the 600-career save plateau and earned 11 wins as a senior. She led the team in both ground balls (66) and caused turnovers (25) in her final year and set the school's single-game record with 15 saves and 13 grounds balls against nationally-ranked Dartmouth.

Barrett was recognized with an America East All-Rookie Team nod in 2015 and an All-Conference Second Team selection following her junior year. She was chosen as the America East Women's Lacrosse Fans' Choice Player of the Year in each of her four seasons at UML.

She graduated from UMass Lowell in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts.
