AS A JUNIOR (2011): Registered seven top-10 finishes in 11 races … Finished in a tie for third in the GS race at the EISA Championships, also finished 10th in the slalom.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2010): McDonald had six top-10 finishes on the season … Was fifth in the giant slalom at the St. Lawrence Carnival on Jan. 15 … Skied to a fifth-place finish in the GS at the St. Michael’s Carnival on Jan. 22 … Was 10th in the GS at the Vermont Carnival at Stowe Mountain Resort on Feb. 5 … Finished 10th in the giant slalom at the Dartmouth Carnival on Feb. 12 … Skied to a fifth-place finish in the giant slalom and a 12th-place finish in the slalom at the Williams Carnival on Feb. 19 and 20 … Finished ninth in the giant slalom and 13th in the slalom at the EISA Championships hosted by Middlebury on Feb. 27 and 28.
AS A FRESHMAN (2009): McDonald posted a 28th-place finish in the women's giant slalom at the Bates Carnival on Jan. 23 ... Finished 32nd in the GS at the Vermont Carnival on Feb. 6.
BEFORE VERMONT: McDonald comes to Vermont from Eastside Catholic High School in Bellevue, Wash. ... Ranked third in the nation in the slalom for her age group in 2008 ... Named to the Western Region Ski Team and earned a first-place finish in the slalom at the Western Region Elite FIS race in 2008 ... Also was a member of the soccer team at Eastside Catholic.
