AS A JUNIOR (2011): Patterson dominated the EISA Circuit in 2011, winning the first seven races she competed in and going 7-1 overall during the regular season ... She swept the Nordic events at the St. Lawrence, UVM and Dartmouth Carnivals and was within three seconds of going 8-0 at the EISA Championships in the 15k classic race ... She finished the year as the points leader among EISA skiers in both the freestyle and classic disciplines … Placed sixth in the 5k freestyle at the NCAA Ski Championships to earn Second-Team All-America honors … Missed one carnival during the regular season while competing for the U.S. U-23 National Team at the World Junior Cross Country Championships in Otepea, Estonia.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2010): Patterson earned the prestigious NCAA Elite 88 Award at the NCAA Championships … Other honors included: 2010 NCAA All-American, 2010 Female U.S. Junior Nordic Skier of the Year (Ski Racing Magazine), 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I At-Large Team, 2010 First-Team All-East Patterson and 2010 NCAA All-Academic Team … Skied to five second-place finishes and had one first-place finish ... Was second in the 15k freestyle at the St. Lawrence Carnival on Jan. 16 ... Spent the following week competing at the World Junior Championships in Hinterzarten, Germany. Patterson skied to a 17th-place finish in the women's 5k classic and was the top female finisher among North American skiers ... Returned to the EISA circuit on Feb. 6 and 7 at the Vermont Carnival where she finished second in the 5k classic and first in the 10k freestyle ... Took second in the 15k classic at the Dartmouth Carnival ... Was second in the 5k classic and 5k freestyle at the Williams Carnival … Finished ninth in the 5k classic at the NCAA Ski Championships hosted by Colorado.
AS A FRESHMAN (2009): Patterson earned NCAA All-American honors and was named to the NCAA All-Academic Team in her first season ... Was named First-Team All-East and was the UVM women's team MVP ... Had two victories and six podium finishes ... Ranked second in the women's freestyle and fourth in the women's classic in the final EISA Rankings ... Finished in the top-10 of all 12 races she competed in ... Skied to an eighth-place finish in the women's 5k classic and a second-place finish in the women's 15k freestyle at the Bates Carnival on Jan. 23 and 24 ... Finished ninth in the classic sprint and second in the 10k freestyle at the New Hampshire Carnival on Jan. 30 and 31 ... Took first-place in the 5k freestyle and the 10k classic at the Vermont Carnival on Feb. 7 and 8 ... Was fourth in the 10k classic at the Middlebury Carnival on Feb. 20 ... Finished third in the 5k classic and fifth in the 15k freestyle at the Eastern Championships hosted by Colby on Feb. 27 and 28 ... Posted a sixth-place finish in the 5k classic and a seventh-place finish in the 15k freestyle at the NCAA Ski Championships hosted by Bates College on March 12 and 14.
BEFORE VERMONT: Patterson came to Vermont from South Anchorage High School in Anchorage, Alaska ... Was a member of the Nordic skiing, cross-country running and soccer teams during high school ... Was a captain for the Nordic team at South Anchorage her senior year, and the team finished second in the state in 2007 and 2008 ... Has several top-10 finishes at Junior Nationals.
PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Steve Patterson and Margaret Hillhouse ... Has a younger brother, Scott who also skis at Vermont ... Lists Olympic skier and Alaska native, Kikkan Randall, as her favorite athlete ... Is a National Merit Scholar and in the Honors College at UVM ... Majoring in civil engineering.
