AS A FRESHMAN (2007): Played in all 18 games, starting 16 as a rookie … Was named to the 2007 America East All-Rookie Team … Also earned a spot on the 2007 Jewish Sports Review All-America Team … Made her collegiate debut and earned her first career start in the season opener versus Central Arkansas … Named to the TD Banknorth Classic All-Tournament Team … Recorded her first collegiate goal versus Buffalo … Handed out two assists at Binghamton and versus Albany … Finished the year ranked second on the team in scoring with 12 points on three goals and six assists … Set a new freshmen record with six assists, which were also the sixth most in a single-season … Was the first freshman to lead UVM in assists since Nikkie Hessney in 2001 … Ranked among the America East leaders in assists (3rd) and points (9th).
BEFORE VERMONT: Came to Vermont after a standout career at Amity Regional High School ... The Woodbridge, Conn. native was named the MVP of the New Haven Register All-Area Girls’ Soccer Team for 2006 ... She also earned Hartford Courant All-State First Team honors as a senior … She was an all-area, all-conference and all-state selection three straight years and led Amity to its first state title in 2006 with a 20-0-1 record ... She finished the season with 25 goals and 10 assists … Becker played in the Connecticut Olympic Development Program while in high school … She has also played for one of Connecticut’s best club teams, South Central Premier, for seven years ... Earned All-New England honors as a senior ... Also a member of the alpine ski team at Woodbridge.
PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Richard and Margaret Becker … Has two older sisters – Laura who is a graduate of Penn and Kathryn who attends Wesleyan … Grandparents Ruth (Class of ’42) and Arnold Becker (Class of ’41) graduated from UVM … Arnold also went on to earn a medical degree at Vermont (Class of ’43) ... Is an English major.
