2010-11: Had a good freshman season for the Catamounts, giving the team depth in the backstroke events … Earned her first collegiate win by taking first place in the 200 backstroke (2:09.88) against Siena … Won the 100 back in a meet against Maine and Keene State in a time of 1:00.57 … Took first in the 100 back (1:01.36) and second in the 200 back (2:15.26) against Central Connecticut State … Finished fourth in the 100 backstroke at the America East Championship, while setting a UVM freshman record in the preliminary round with a time of 57.01 … Also placed 16th overall in the 200 back (2:05.81).
Before UVM: Comes to Vermont from Stittsville, Ontario and Sacred Heart High School … Was a Canadian Senior National Qualifier and attended the 2008 Canadian Olympic Trials … Is a Provincial triathlon champion … Also ran cross country and played hockey.
Personal: Is the daughter of Nicholas Alexander and Cathy O’Neil … Has one older brother, Brendan … Is a political science major.
