2010-11: Competed in the 50 and 100 freestyle during her senior year … Came in eighth in the 50 (27.31) against Maine/Keene State … Placed eighth in both the 50 (26.45) and 100 (57.59) at the Middlebury Invitational.
2009-10: Competed in the sprint freestyle events as a junior … Posted some of her best times of the year at the Middlebury Invitational by finishing seventh in the 100 (58.62) and 12th in the 50 (27.46).
2008-09: In a meet against Boston College, finished 14th in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:02.25 and finished 13th in the 200 free with a time of 2:13.44 ... Placed fifth in the 200 frees in a meet against Holy Cross with a time of 2:12.01.
2007-08: Came in 15th in the 100 freestyle at Boston College and 12th in the 500 freestyle … Finished eighth in the 500 freestyle against Maine.
Before UVM: Attended Stratford High School in her hometown of Stratford, Conn. … Was named team captain as a senior and earned MVP honors in 2005 … Was a member of a 200 freestyle relay team that broke her school record.
Personal: Is the daughter of Leon and Kimarie Kurdziel … Her father played baseball at Fairfield University … Has two siblings, Kaitlin and Kerry … majors in communication sciences and education.
