2011-12: Placed second in the 50 freestyle (25.41) against Siena … Finished second in the 100 backstroke (1:01.07) at Niagara … Came in third in the 100 backstroke (1:00.13) at New Hampshire … Placed third in the 100 backstroke (1:01.57) at Central Connecticut … Finished third in the 200 backstroke (2:13.53) vs. Dartmouth … Finished second in the 100 backstroke (1:00.13), and third in both the 50 (25.72) and 100 (54.58) freestyle events against Rhode Island … Finished sixth in the 100 backstroke (57.34), 10th in the 50 freestyle (24.08) and 14th in the 200 backstroke (2:05.94) at the America East Championship … She was also part of the 200 medley relay and broke the UVM varsity record in the 50 freestyle with her split of 23.83 to leadoff the event.
2010-11: Competed primarily in the backstroke events for the Cats, while also swimming the 50 freestyle … Finished third in the 200 back in a time of 2:15.05 against Siena … Placed second in the 100 back (1:02.24) against Maine and Keene State … Earned a third place showing in the 100 back against Central Connecticut State in a time of 1:02.13 … Finished second in the 200 back (2:13.46) and third in the 100 back (1:00.98) vs. Rhode Island … Earned three top-10 finishes at the America East Championship, placing sixth in the 100 back (57.56), eighth in the 200 back (2:04.82) and 10th in the 50 freestyle (24.09).
2009-10: Competed primarily in the 100 and 200 backstroke events as a sophomore … Posted 10 top-four finishes in the 100 backstroke on the season … In a win over Siena she finished second in the 100 back (1:01.43) and third in the 200 back (2:17.78) … Earned a pair of second place finishes in the 100 and 200 backstroke events against Maine … Came in second in the 100 (1:01.29) and third in the 200 (2:14.08) in a win on the road against Central Connecticut State … Scored in two events at the America East Championships, by placing seventh in the 100 back (58.06) and eighth in the 200 back (2:06.65), while also finishing 14th in the 50 freestyle (24.39).
2008-09: Gave the Catamounts depth in both the 100 and 200 backstroke events as a freshman … In her first collegiate meet she finished second in the 100 back (1:01.34) … Won the 200 back (2:11.79) and placed second in the 100 (1:00.61) in a win over Maine … Earned a second place finish in the 100 back in a meet at Holy Cross … Won the 100 backstroke (1:01.01) vs. Bryant … Came in fourth at the America East Championship in the 100 backstroke (57.66) and sixth in the 200 (2:06.86) … Was also a member of the 200 medley relay team that broke a school varsity record at the league championship.
Before UVM: A local athlete from nearby Vergennes, she swam for four years for the Edge Swim Club and two years for the Vergennes Summer Swim Team … Swim team captain from 2004-07 … Finished in the top 10 in New England in the 100 backstroke in 2005-06 and 2006-07 … Won the Vermont State Championship in the 50 butterfly and 200 IM in 2006, then the 50 and 100 backstroke in 2007.
Personal: Is the daughter of John and Lisa Evarts … Has one younger sister, Erika … Plans to be a civil/environmental engineering major.
