2011-12: Placed sixth in the 800 freestyle (10:00.70) at the Harvard Invite long course meet … Finished third in the 1,000 freestyle (10:57.41) against Bryant … Came in third in the 1,000 freestyle (10:46.82) at New Hampshire … Placed third in the 500 freestyle (5:14.54) vs. Northeastern … Came in third in the 500 freestyle (5:15.24) at Rhode Island … Finished ninth in the 1,650 (17:26.56), 12th in the 500 (5:03.19) and 14th in the 200 (1:53.83) freestyle events at the America East Championship.
2010-11: Competed in the distance freestyle events for the Catamounts … Helped Vermont top Siena with a pair of wins in the 500 (5:11.95) and 1,000 (10:49.73) … The following week in a meet against Maine/Keene State she won the 500 (5:17.88) and placed second in the 200 (1:59.55) … Took the top spot in the 1,650 freestyle (18:04.90) against Bryant … Placed second in the 1,000 (10:41.80) and third in the 500 (5:12.23) against Central Connecticut State … Finished third in the 200 (1:58.17) against Rhode Island and third in the 1,000 (10:50.27) at the Middlebury Invitational … At the America East Championships she finished eighth in the 1,650 (17:25.68) and 14th in both the 200 (1:53.54) and 500 (5:03.10).
2009-10: Gave the Catamounts depth in the freestyle events as a sophomore … Finished in the top four in the 500 freestyle nine times on the year … Had a big meet vs. Siena by winning the 1,000 free (10:40.64) and finishing second in the 500 … Posted a first place finish in the 500 (5:12.98) and was second in the 200 (1:57.99) in a win over Maine … Earned back-to-back second place finishes in the 1,000 free against New Hampshire and Dartmouth … In a win over Rhode Island and Bryant, she came in second in the 1,000 and third in the 500 … At the America East Championship she finished ninth in the 1,650 freestyle (17:33.08) and 14th in both the 200 (1:54.59) and 500 (5:03.23) freestyle events.
2008-09: Earned a pair of second place showings in her first collegiate meet at Army in the 200 (1:56.32) and 500 (5:11.48) freestyle events … Won the 500 free (5:09.08) and came in second in the 200 (1:55.88) in a win over Maine … Finished first in the 500 free against Dartmouth … Took first in the 1,000 freestyle at Holy Cross and vs. Bryant … Had seven top three finishes in the 500 free during the season … Came in the top six at the America East Championship in three different events … Placed fifth in the 1,650 free (17:10.45) and sixth in both the 200 (1:52.35) and 500 (4:59.07) freestyle events … Her time in the 1,650 broke the UVM freshmen record, while in the same event her 1,000 split also set a new school rookie record … Was also a member of the first-place 800 freestyle relay team that broke the conference, UVM and BU pool record at conferences and was a member of the 200 freestyle relay that also broke a school mark.
Before UVM: Comes to Vermont from Clarendon Hills, Ill. and Hinsdale Central High School … Swam at Hinsdale for four years, where she was a four-time state qualifier, two-time all-state selection and earned All-American honors once … Hinsdale went 54-1 in dual meets during her time there.
Personal: Is the daughter of Robert and Jill Heenan … Has two sisters, Megan and Ellen … Megan runs cross country and track at the University of Pittsburgh … Plans to be an education major.
