2013-14: Mainly competed in backstroke and freestyle events for the Catamounts … Helped her relay squad to a third-place showing in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:54.05 in a tri-meet with CCSU and Merrimack … Paced her team to sixth-place finishes in both the 200 medley (1:59.60) and 200 free (1:49.61) relay events against Northeastern
2012-13: Finished 12th in the 100 backstroke at the CCSU Invitational with a time of 1:02.87
2011-12: Finished fifth in the 200 (2:15.26) and sixth in the 100 (1:02.56) backstroke events at the Middlebury Invitational.
2010-11: Competed in the sprint freestyle events and the backstroke as a freshman … Placed sixth in the 100 back (1:07.34) and eighth in the 50 free (28.80) against Siena … Finished second in the 200 back (2:15.25) and fifth in the 100 back (1:02.59) at the Middlebury Invitational.
Before UVM: Comes to Vermont after attending Burlington High School … A three-year captain of the Greater Burlington YMCA Dynamo swim team … Took part in the YMCA Short Course and Long Course Nationals ... Was a Vermont state champion in the 50 backstroke and 200 medley relay ... Took the top spot at regionals in the 50 freestyle.
Personal: Is the daughter of Thomas and Julia Melloni, both UVM graduates … Has two younger sisters, Elena and Bianca … Elena is also on the swimming and diving team ... Also plays in the Vermont Youth Orchestra and performed on National Public Radio’s ‘From the Top’ … Is a biochemistry major.
