SENIOR INDOOR SEASON (2022): Opened the season with a third-place finish and a 3000m time of 10:44.69 at the Dartmouth Indoor Opener (Dec. 11) ... Was second in the mile at the Middlebury Winter Classic (Jan. 15) ... Logged a 3000m time of 10:32.43 for second place at the Middlebury Winterfell (Jan. 22) ... Registered a third-place finish in the mile at the Middlebury Invite (Jan. 29) ... Was 22nd in the 3000m with a time of 10:23.33 at the Scarlet & White Invite (Feb. 5) ... Finished ninth in the mile at the Dartmouth Relays (Jan. 10) ... Ran a 10:19.12 in the 3000m at the Boston University John Terrier Classic (Jan. 24) ... Recoded a 10:21.04 finish in the 3000m at the NEICAAA Indoor Track & Field Championship (Jan. 31)
BEFORE UVM: Came to UVM from Philomath, Oregon … Played soccer and ran cross country and track as well as swam for a year at Philomath High School … Her cross country and track team won their district championship from 2013-2017 and earned 3rd place in the state championship in 2013 and 2016 … Was named to the all-state team for cross country and track from 2013-2017 … Earned the district coach’s award in 2017 … won most valuable runner in 2016 and 2017.
PERSONAL: Meaghan is the daughter of Debbie and Dave Alba … Has two siblings, Ian and Caelin … Chose UVM because she was immediately attracted to the student body's passion and determination to make the world a better place and she was also impressed by the students' abilities to balance academics, personal goals, and athletics … Majoring in nursing.
