2012 OUTDOOR SEASON: Competed in seven events ... Placed 17th in the 400-meter run at the 2012 America East Outdoor Championships with a time of 1:00.27 ... Posted a new personal record in the 400-meter (59.53) at the 2012 New England Championships to place 21st ... Also ran with the 4x100-meter relay team and was 10th in 49.10 ... Won the 400 at the Catamount Invitational in 1:00.76 for her first career victory ... Finished second later in the week at the Middlebury Invitational with her second best time of the season (1:00.18).

2012 INDOOR SEASON: Competed in seven events ... Ran a time of 1:01.47 in the 400-meter at the 2012 America East Indoor Championships to finish 20th ... Posted a season-best 400 time of 1:01.11 at the Joe Donahue Indoor Games to place 18th ... Set a new personal record in the 300-meter (43.39) to place third in her season debut at home against Hartford ... Was 10th in the 200-meter at Dartmouth in a season-best time of 27.33.

2011 OUTDOOR SEASON: Competed in five meets during the outdoor season … She set a personal best in the 200m with a time of 27.06 at the Middlebury Invitational (April 26) … She also set a career best in the 400m with a time of 1:01.81 at the UMass Pre-Conference Invitational … At the America East Championships she finished 22nd in the 400m with a time of 1:02.77 … She also finished seventh as a member of Vermont’s 4x100m relay time.

2011 INDOOR SEASON: She competed in four events during the indoor campaign … She established a career best mark of 44.51 in the 300m at the UNH Invitational.

BEFORE VERMONT: Tomasi came to Vermont from nearby Champlain Valley Union High School in Hinesburg, Vt. ... Was a member of the track and soccer teams.

PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Theresa Tomasi of Williston, Vt. ... Was born in Ghana ... Is one of 26 children adopted by Ms. Tomasi ... Mother and numerous siblings are UVM alums ... Majoring in psychology.
